In an effort to raise three boys that are hard working young men with an understanding of responsibility and a compassion for all life, we adopted and purchased a variety of animals. We also wanted to provide healthier food at a lower cost for our family. Out of a desire for fresh beef that contained no added hormones, we took on the challenge of raising our first cow. Surprisingly we found that others were looking for the same thing and were willing to purchase from us. Over the years, it has beautifully evolved into a business that we would love to share with you.
White Oak Hill Farms is located 5 miles north of the Chowan River in Eure, the county of Gates, North Carolina. We total 28 acres with 14 acres of pastureland to raise cattle, goats, and sheep. Five acres of the farm is under the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program through the USDA with a stand of loblolly pine. In the future we hope to have 3 acres of blueberries as well.
We are first about joyfully raising and training our three children to be faithful, mature, and responsible young people. Our goal is to raise boys that first love the Lord their God with all their hearts, souls, minds, and with all their strength. Second, we are about producing environmentally responsible and delicious food for your table. We strive to be good stewards of all God has provided. Our prayer is that our family will be a light for the one true God in all we do.
"Every good and perfect gift comes from the father of heavenly lights
who does not change like shifting shadows ..." James 1:17
